Ketamine Therapy in Florida

Ketamine Therapy in Florida created 9-25-26 ~ Written by Lucrezia Mangione, LCPC, NCC, BC-TMH, DCEP

Highly sensitive non-binary adult in their 40s holding a journal in a soft, welcoming room for ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

People considering ketamine therapy in Florida arrive from different starting points. You may be exploring ketamine because therapy, medication, or other approaches haven't helped enough. You may already receive prescribed ketamine and want psychotherapy before or after a dosing session. Or you may have a trusted therapist who doesn't provide ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and want focused KAP support without ending that relationship.

At Mind Body Well Therapy, Pllc, I provide the psychotherapy component of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, or KAP. I do not prescribe ketamine or make medical decisions. Medical eligibility, prescribing, medication instructions, dosing decisions, and medical care remain the responsibility of an independent medical provider.

Hello. I'm Lucrezia Mangione, LCPC, NCC, BC-TMH, a Holistic Integrative Psychotherapist registered as an out-of-state telehealth provider in Florida. My Holistic Integrative Psychotherapy work is grounded in evidence-based psychotherapy and guided by an evidence-informed, whole-person approach that considers mind, body, heart, spirit, and lived experience. KAP psychotherapy is available online while you are physically located in Florida. Depending on your needs and care arrangement, our work may include preparation, integration, live therapeutic support during a prescribed dosing session, or a combination of these.

Understanding Ketamine Therapy in Florida

Ketamine Therapy in Florida can mean different things depending on the treatment setting, medical provider, and level of psychotherapy involved. Some programs center primarily on medical evaluation and medication. Infusion clinics organize care around intravenous ketamine, while others use different forms of medically managed treatment.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is structured differently: prescribed ketamine treatment is coordinated with psychotherapy. My role may include helping you prepare for a prescribed ketamine experience, providing therapeutic support during dosing when that's part of your care, making space for integration afterward, or some combination of these.

These aren't simply better or worse versions of the same care — they're different approaches. Understanding who provides the medication and what kind of psychotherapy is included can help you ask more useful questions as you consider your options.

For a broader introduction, visit Ketamine Therapy.

Your Therapist and Medical Provider Have Different Roles

Clear roles matter whenever several professionals are involved in your care.

Your independent medical provider determines whether ketamine may be medically appropriate for you and is responsible for prescribing, medication instructions, dosing decisions, medical monitoring requirements, and other medical care.

My role is psychotherapy. I assess psychotherapy fit and may provide preparation, integration, and therapeutic support during a prescribed dosing session when arranged.

Therapeutic dosing support is psychotherapy. It is not medication administration, medical supervision, or medical monitoring.

If coordination would be helpful, I may communicate with your medical provider or another therapist with your written permission. Each of us remains responsible for our own area of practice.

What KAP Psychotherapy Can Look Like

KAP doesn't follow one universal protocol, and not everyone needs every component. My Holistic Integrative Psychotherapy approach also means the psychotherapy is shaped around the person and the larger context of their care rather than a single prescribed formula.

Preparation gives us space to talk about your expectations, concerns, and what emotional or practical support may be helpful as you approach a prescribed ketamine experience.

Therapeutic support during dosing may be available when it's part of the agreed care arrangement. I remain present as a psychotherapist while you follow the medication and safety instructions provided by your medical provider. Some people prefer a largely quiet, inward experience. Others appreciate occasional reassurance or reflection.

Integration gives you time afterward to consider what arose and how, if at all, it relates to your relationships, choices, patterns, or daily life. It doesn't require turning every experience into a profound insight. Sometimes the useful work is simply noticing what happened without forcing an interpretation.

Some people work with me for several parts of KAP. Others come specifically for preparation and integration around ketamine treatment they receive elsewhere.

You Don't Have to Arrive at KAP the Same Way

There is no single doorway into KAP.

You may still be deciding whether ketamine-related care is something you want to explore. We can talk about the psychotherapy side of KAP and whether my approach seems relevant to what you're looking for. A psychotherapy consultation does not determine whether ketamine is medically appropriate for you.

You may already have a qualified medical provider and want more therapeutic support before or after dosing.

Or you may already be doing meaningful psychotherapy or holistic therapy with a trusted therapist who doesn't provide KAP. That doesn't necessarily mean you need to end that relationship. I may be able to provide focused preparation, integration, or dosing-session psychotherapy while your therapist continues the work you already do together.

Different forms of support can have different jobs. When several providers are involved, we can clarify those roles and coordinate care with your permission when useful.

Online KAP Psychotherapy for Clients in Florida

KAP psychotherapy through Mind Body Well Therapy, Pllc is available online while you are physically located in Florida.

For people exploring Ketamine Therapy in Florida, this means the psychotherapy portion of care can be accessed statewide rather than from a particular MBWT office or Florida clinic.

You don't need to be near a particular Florida city. What matters for an online psychotherapy appointment is where you are physically located during the session, which may be different from your permanent address.

Sessions take place through real-time secure video. Mind Body Well Therapy, Pllc does not have an in-person office in Florida; my in-person practice is located in Oxford, Connecticut.

This statewide availability applies to psychotherapy. Your independent medical provider determines how medical appointments, prescribing, medication access, and monitoring are handled.

If you travel, move, or expect to be outside Florida for an appointment, Online Therapy & States Served explains how physical location can affect online psychotherapy.

Is This the Kind of Support You're Looking For?

There are several legitimate ways to receive ketamine-related care, and each has its place depending on what a person needs.

Working with me may be worth exploring if you want psychotherapy to be an intentional part of your ketamine care — preparation or integration, therapeutic support during a prescribed dosing experience, or focused KAP work alongside care you already receive.

Mind Body Well Therapy, Pllc is not a ketamine prescribing practice or infusion clinic. If your primary need is a ketamine prescription, medication-only treatment, an IV or IM infusion clinic, a medical evaluation for ketamine eligibility, or a Florida facility that administers ketamine, you'll need an appropriate medical provider or treatment program.

Medical eligibility and psychotherapy fit are separate questions, and previous treatment providing only partial relief doesn't automatically make ketamine the next step.

Getting Started with KAP Psychotherapy in Florida

A consultation is usually the simplest place to begin.

We can talk about what has brought you to KAP, the psychotherapy support you're looking for, whether you already have a therapist or medical provider, and whether working together appears to be a reasonable fit.

The consultation is not a medical evaluation. It doesn't determine medical eligibility, provide medical advice, or give you access to a ketamine prescription.

If you're still gathering information or trying to understand what kind of support you need, that can be part of the conversation.

For current psychotherapy fees, insurance information, and payment options, visit Fees & Insurance.

If you'd prefer to learn more before having an individual conversation, a KAP Information Session offers another place to begin.

You don't need every question answered before you reach out. The purpose is real information, honest support, and space to decide what makes sense for you.
